Kingfisher Forge is the collaborative effort of Chris Eaton and Neha Shukla. Our workshop and home are located on the banks of the North Branch of the Winooski River in central Vermont where we are nestled at the edge of a field tucked in by the mountains. We can hear the rattling call of kingfishers patrolling the river all summer long.
What has drawn us to working metal is the ability to create useful, handmade objects for the home and garden that are both beautiful and durable. We strive for simplicity and elegance in the design and crafting stages of our work. Often we design pieces together, and then Chris, a self taught blacksmith, creates them in our shop.
We share our lives with our two children, dig in our garden, make art and food, and love the outdoors.
Our work is available at Collective the Art of Craft Woodstock and at Artisans Gallery in Waitsfield, VT. We also love to collaborate with individuals, or other artists and designers, to produce custom work.
We hope you have as much enjoyment in the use of our pieces as we have had in making them. Thank you for visiting!
